We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our dedicated care team. What You’ll Do:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Support mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding assistance when needed
- Provide medication reminders and basic health monitoring
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
- Follow individualized care plans and adapt to changing needs
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate brings both professional expertise and genuine caring to this role. You must hold current PCA (Personal Care Assistant) certification or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and have hands-on experience providing personal care services. We value candidates who demonstrate patience, reliability, and strong communication skills. Please note that CNA is not require, but applicants must have a valid and current PCA certification.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid PCA certification (must be current)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in personal care or related field
- Strong understanding of personal care techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Background check and drug screening required
